Uno Rules
Uno Singles Rules:
The Uno Singles minigame will need to be run using /module #unotfm in the tribe house. A total of six rounds must be played where the winner in each round is noted. There could be extra rounds in play in the event that there is a draw in wins by a person and that their results affect the next round.
When playing Uno, your goal will be to rid yourself of your cards as quickly and efficiently as possible.
The only way to score points and ultimately win the game is by being the first player to run out of cards. To do this, you will need to play cards from your hand to match the number, color, or the action of the top card in the discard pile.
You may also play a wild card to alter the color that is currently in play.
When you only have one remaining card left in your hand, you must call out the word “Uno!” This is kind of important.
While you can still win the game without saying “Uno,” you will risk a penalty if caught. An opponent can challenge you if "Uno" isn't pressed quickly enough! Should this occur, you must draw two more cards as a penalty.
There are also wild cards within Uno! These cards include Draw +2 (the player must grab +2 cards or stack another +2 for a greater effect), Reverse (change the order of players), and Skip (player's turn is skipped to the next opponent).
There are also wild cards that can change colors! The normal wild card is to change the deck to any color you want, the second one is a wild draw +4 card in which the next player must receive +4 cards while the dealer can change the color. However, with a +4 wild card, the receiving end can challenge it! This leads the player to guess whether or not a certain card is in their deck to reverse the +4!
*Side note: pressing a card while not your turn will enable other players to see that card.
Uno Teams Rules:
The Uno Teams minigame will need to be run using /module #unotfm in the tribe house. Uno Teams will be run under a best-of-7 series, with the first team to win four rounds will be declared the winner of the game series.
The same rules as above from Uno Singles also apply to the gameplay for Uno Teams.
For teams, only your partner or yourself needs to win for two peoples.
You are encouraged to discuss with your partner certain strategies that can make your opponents be weary of your skills, either through Transformice whisper, on Discord, or other messaging apps!
*Side note: pressing a card while not your turn will enable only your partner to see that card.
For Referees:
The Map Codes page is not required in this minigame. The referee has to enter /module #unotfm in the tribe house. The referee must get each person that will be competing in a specific Uno match altogether and give them a place to sit. Make sure that each person is switching places at random after each round to ensure fairness. There will be a total of six rounds, and there could be extra rounds if there are any ties that determine a qualification or demotion to the next round. After a person wins each round, the referee must make a note as to who won each round by either writing it down or taking a screenshot. For Uno Teams, the format will be a best-of-7 series. The first team to record four wins will win the game series. The referee must have the "teams" skill unlocked on the #unotfm module in order to run an Uno Teams match.
